Cambridge Crossfit

Saturday Lukas, some friends, and I went to Cambridge Crossfit to participate in their Saturday team challenge.  The workout was:

Sumo Deadlift High Pull x10

Push Press x10

Each at 65#

AMRAP 5 minutes (must be a full set of 10 to count as a round or half round)

Finished with 4.5 rounds

Pull Ups x10

Goblet Squats x10

AMRAP 5 minutes (must be a full set of 10 to count as a round or half round)

Finished with 4 rounds

30 Wood chops 25#

3 Burpees each time the weight stops moving

For time

For these workouts we were in groups of 4 or 5ish. Final results were everyone’s rounds combined.  For the wood chops if you finished early you were able to help anyone in your group to finish them off. I finished my 30 and took on an additional 15 to help the team finish.

Surprisingly enough, I was the one that produced the highest numbers on my team. There was a girl there that looked like she should be able to school us all. Her only strength was pull-ups, other than that she wasn’t an all-around athlete.

Today’s Lesson: Don’t judge a book by its cover, nor get intimidated by the way someone looks.
